US&R

Search and Rescue is one of the most complex and technical tasks that emergency responders encounter. Training responders to safely and effectively manage this type of incident requires experienced and talented instructors as well as a professional program of instruction.

ATEC’s Urban Search And Rescue (US&R) instructors are professional US&R technicians from Type I and Type II US&R teams around the country. Our instructors have hands on experience in responding to numerous incidents involving structural damage and structural collapse, requiring extrication of victims from varying degrees of entrapment.

ATEC provides realistic training with the tools, equipment and conditions that are found at major incident operations. Students work in confined spaces, under realistic conditions and must solve technical rescue problems to be successful.
